Privacy & Disclaimer
AAGO is built to need as little personal information as possible. There are no accounts, no sign-up and no database of users. Here is exactly what happens to what you type.
What is sent to our AI provider
To suggest names, we send your choices to a third-party AI service (currently Google Gemini) through our server. This includes the starting syllable or Nakshatra, name category, language, region, tradition, style and meaning preferences, and anything you choose to type in the optional fields: surname, parents' or grandparents' names, inspiration and the free-text box.
Please do not enter anything you would not want processed by an AI service. Every optional field can be left blank and you will still receive suggestions. The AI provider has its own privacy terms and may retain or use submitted content as described in them; we do not control this.
What we do not do
- We do not ask you to create an account or give your name, phone number or email.
- We do not store your searches, preferences or the names generated for you.
- We do not use advertising or tracking cookies, and we do not sell data.
- We do not infer your religion, caste or community. You choose any tradition yourself.
What stays on your device
Your shortlist (the names you heart) is saved only in your browser's local storage. It is never sent to us. Clearing your browser data, or using the Remove button on each name, deletes it. Name cards are created on your device and are not uploaded.
Technical data
To prevent abuse, our server briefly keeps your IP address in memory to count requests. It is not written to a database and is discarded when the server restarts. Our hosting provider may also keep standard access logs (such as IP address and time of visit) under its own policy. Names for identical searches may be cached in server memory for up to an hour, without any link to you.
About the names we suggest
- Suggestions are generated by AI and automatically checked for the starting syllable and script. Meanings, origins and cultural notes are not independently verified and can be wrong or disputed.
- Names marked “creative” are new combinations, not established names.
- The Nakshatra and Pada syllable table follows one commonly used convention. Some almanacs differ.
- Audio pronunciation uses your device's text-to-speech and may be inaccurate, especially for Indian languages.
- Please confirm your final choice with elders, a priest or a native speaker. AAGO is a discovery aid, not astrological, religious or legal advice.
Children's information
AAGO is intended for parents and families. We do not knowingly collect information from children. We suggest not typing a baby's full legal name, date of birth or other identifying details into the free-text box.
